Privacy Policy for
Element Inspector

Last Updated: August 2026

1. Introduction

CyberZip Technology ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Element Inspector browser extension for Google Chrome. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding user data and privacy protections.

2. Zero Personal Data Collection

Element Inspector does NOT collect, store, transmit, track, or sell any personal data, user browsing activity, IP addresses, credentials, or personal identification information of any kind.

3. How the Extension Works (Strictly Client-Side)

Element Inspector functions strictly within your local browser environment. When you inspect an element on a webpage:

  • The extension accesses the local DOM tree of your active tab solely to compute and display CSS styles, fonts, colors, and dimensions.
  • All styling computations are performed entirely in-memory on your local machine.
  • No web requests, telemetry, analytics beacons, or remote logs are transmitted to CyberZip servers or third-party servers.

4. Browser Permissions Explained

Element Inspector requires minimal browser permissions strictly to perform its developer inspection duties:

  • activeTab: Required solely to inject the inspector overlay and display element styles on the page you choose to inspect.
  • storage: Used locally on your machine only to remember your UI preferences (such as color format preference: HEX vs RGB).

5. Third-Party Services

Element Inspector contains zero third-party tracking scripts, advertisements, cookies, or external analytics SDKs.
